We were blessed to be able to take a short trip to the mountains to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary once again this year. However, our actual anniversary was on a workday in the middle of the week. Our babysitter was already scheduled to come so I could run errands, so we decided to rendezvous for a lunch date (just the two of us!)
It was wonderful! We went to Mac's Speed Shop and had some delicious barbecue, green bean casserole, mac & cheese and good home cooking! The best part, though, was our conversation and being able to have some alone time to celebrate 9 years of an amazing journey together!
