Gracie can walk!
Grace took her first steps a couple weeks ago, at about fourteen and a half months! She still prefers to crawl, but she is practicing her walking skills more and more each day.
Welcome to our family Sadie!
While we were on our mountain trip, we visited the local farmers market. There was a dog rescue organization represented there and we met a sweet beagle who needed to be adopted. Steven's heart went out to the sweet dog and he felt that she would be a great fit for our family. So after prayer and much consideration, we came home from the mountains with the dog! We named her Sadie Mae Mauney, and she indeed has been a wonderful addition to our family.
Sadly, on the day we returned from our trip our cat Oreo passed away. We know now that God provided Sadie Mae as another pet for our family knowing that we would lose our beloved Oreo.
Sadie is three years old and was a stray dog that animal control had captured. The rescue organization rescued her from animal control in Ashe County, North Carolina.
When we brought her home we took her to a vet to be looked over and also had her spayed.
At first she did not bark and was very shy and seemed very nervous around us. We think that there may have been abuse in her background. However recently she has begun to bark more and is more energetic around us. She does not like it when we leave, but she does seem to be content in her crate overnight and occasionally during the day.
She is a very sweet dog and our entire family loves her.

Tweetsie Railroad 2014!
A few weeks ago we took a trip to the mountains with my parents. During our trip we visited Tweetsie Railroad. We had a wonderful time at the park! Elise especially enjoyed the petting zoo and Isaac's favorite part was driving the cars (which he did about 10 times!)
We left the park for lunch and had a picnic at Julian Price Park where Isaac and Elise were able to play in the creeks.
