Our family spent most of Christmas Eve at my Granny and Pawpaw Gurley's house. We began with our traditional biscuits and gravy breakfast, fellowship, singing carols, reading Luke 2, and gift exchange. That lasted all morning and early afternoon, so we headed home for naps before returning at 4:30 for a steak dinner. This is the first year our family has been able to go to the steak dinner since Steven and I have been married. It was a great time, and we were blessed to have such wonderful quality fellowship with our family!
Isaac got to use Gramp's extra digital camera to take pictures during our visit:

Elise was fascinated by the tree and, of course, wanted to rearrange all of the ornaments:

How can you tell this sweet thing "no"?!?!

Both kids loved spending time with cousin Joe. Isaac told me that he was going home with Joe (to Georgia!!) We don't get to see Joe and his sweet family often enough, so we soaked up the time on Christmas Eve.
Isaac and Elise loved opening their gifts from Granny and Pawpaw. Isaac got some new Play Doh kits (Cars and a hamburger maker), and Elise got two Pucci Pups in a bag (way cute!!)
Here is Elise, thanking Gi-gi for her puppies:
My Uncle Mike, Daddy, and Aunt Pam, after the steak dinner:
Isaac and Pawpaw played cars in their kitchen for quite a while. Isaac loves the special cars at Pawpaw's house, and he especially loves playing with his Pawpaw!
Elise loves her Gi-gi!
She also loves to read any reading material she can find. That day it was Our Daily Bread. Not a bad choice, sweet girl! You go and get you some devo time in!
The boys, with a funny smile on Isaac's face. He had to wear one of Pawpaw's coats outside because we forgot his. He looked hilarious!
What a great day!
