Preschool Olympics 2011

It's Preschool Olympics time of year again! You may remember that last year Isaac was quite shy during the closing ceremony, even to the point of taking his medal off and throwing it down as soon as it was given to him. This year wasn't too different. In fact, Isaac sat with us instead of walking in with his class, and when it was time to get his medal, I carried him up to the front of the church, took the medal and we headed back up the aisle together. Elise, on the other hand, was thrilled to participate (she is our social butterfly, for sure) and seemed to enjoy being in the spotlight.

Here she is, right after she received her medal:

And here she is, sitting on the stage with some of her class and the preschool director, Ms Ellen:

After the ceremony, Isaac was very much relieved, and we all headed to the gym for dinner. We also celebrated my Mom's birthday since it happened to fall on the same day as the Olympics! Isaac enjoyed helping set tables up and take them down (he is a GREAT helper!):

Elise and Kati had a blast together. Elise loves her Aunt Kati... she often asks to call her on the phone and whenever we ask her "guess who is coming over Elise?!", she says "Kati!!!!" (even if it's not Kati! She always wants her to come over.)

When we got home, the kids de-stressed with some wrestling in the floor:

What a great night! And Happy Birthday to Nana!
