Kitties...gotta love 'em!
This picture shows how laid back our cat Oreo really is. Isaac used him as a pillow, and he didn't seem to mind one bit! (OK, maybe Isaac didn't actually choose this particular pillow himself... His daddy might have given him the idea!)

Our first month with Isaac
A little more than a month has passed since Isaac was born and we brought him home from the hospital! Those four weeks were full of excitement for Steven and me as we learned the basics of "Infant Parenting 101." We have been having sleepless nights and busy days, to which you fellow parents can definitely relate! Also, I have been recovering from the delivery of Isaac, which was no less than a monumental feat for me! Thus, there has been little time for more than feeding baby and self, changing baby, taking pain medication, taking pictures, and sleeping whenever possible!
Whew! What a whirlwind it has been, but looking back over this month, I see the hand of God ever present in our lives even when we didn't seek Him. I see His faithfulness to strengthen his children in the midst of our fears, pain, exhaustion, and cluelessness. He is the Ultimate Parent and we are realizing every day that raising Isaac will require a relationship with God so close that we hear His voice directing us and feel His hand leading us every step of the way on this incredible journey.

Isaac's one month picture. We'll take ones like this each month so we can see him grow!

Isaac says "I love you" in sign language all of the time! Guess he got that from his Momma!

May you also feel the hand of God in your lives this Christmas season and in 2008! Blessings to you from our family!
